Overview of Cervical Muscle Release

Cervical Muscle Release is an advanced deep muscle realignment. This gentle yet effective trigger point technique addresses the deep muscle “holding patterns” that surround the cervical atlanto-occipital joint. This joint is where two primary bones (the skull and C1 or the Atlas) meet. Once the muscles release, your body will naturally be free to correct its alignment restrictions thereby freeing up the range of motion in your neck. In other words, the neck will be free to relax and balance. Once in place, most find it holds indefinitely.

To assist in this popular European treatment a deep muscle device is applied in a vibrational manner. Think of it as purely a “hurt so good” feeling.

Remember, your nervous system ‘talks’ to your muscles that will in turn support your bones. Once the fight-or-flight of sustained muscle tension is broken, all three begin to function in synergy. Energy movement begins to rebuild, regenerate, reintegrate. This is not a “magic bullet” and may take up to six months to two years to complete.

Cervical Muscle Release is divided into two sessions scheduled anywhere between 24 hours apart and four to six weeks apart. This depends on the individual needs. The second session is called a “ReBalance” and is 60-90 minutes in length.

  • A full-body massage or seated massage is added to your ReBalance.
  • A client may choose to include the addition of pure essential oils.
  • Acutonics or tuning fork’s vibrationally ground us and are an effective addition to your session as well. This second session will be tailored to your personal needs.
